This three-day virtual workshop brought together multiple stakeholders to identify research needs and develop technologies for electrifying and decarbonizing industrial operations to their reduce greenhouse gas footprint through:

  • Exchange of knowledge on the challenges and technology gaps in the area
  • Consideration of possible new strategies for addressing this issue both in the short term and long term
  • Identification of new opportunities that can be launched by academia to close the foreseeable gaps.

Hosted by the Strategic Energy Alliance and Stanford Precourt Institute for Energy, this meeting engaged key participants from academia, industry, NGOs and government.
